Custom Fabrication of a Steel Electronics Cabinet
for the Printing Industry

At Pyramid Fab and Finish, we have all the necessary resources to provide end-to-end fabrication services for enclosures of any size, such as the large electronics cabinet highlighted here. Used to house a high speed digital printer, it featured sturdy, 16 gauge steel construction and a textured blue powder coated finish.

With large turret presses capable of handling sheet materials measuring up to 60″ x 120″, and press brakes capable of bending sheet up to 12′ long, we had ample capacity to form the components. In addition to creating structurally sound welded seams, we took advantage of our in-line Faraday cage booth to streamline the powder coating of this large, geometrically complex part. After inserting the hardware, casters, and hinges to complete the final assembly, we gave it a final inspection to validate that we met or exceeded the customer specifications.

Once completed, the housing measured 28.0″ in width x 27.0″ in depth x 69.0″ in height. Its robust construction would protect the sensitive electronics over a long and useful service life.
